What is mubhi?
mubhi celebrates the Indian aesthetic sensibility through a unique product experience - an experience that stems from the magic reality of the past mingled with the earthen rush of contemporary living. mubhi fulfills the aspirations of the global citizens who are in tune with their local heritage and the universal values.
What does “mubhi” mean?
The name mubhi is inspired by Bhumi (that means earth in Hindi). We create beautifully designed products from India, which connect people to the environment, sustainably.
Be “Matti”realistic.
Matti in Hindi means mud. mubhi is focused on designing products that are not only inspiring but also sustainable. Valuing earthly resources is one of our prime criteria as we design and manufacture products.
Where are mubhi products designed?
All the products are designed at our mubhi studio located in Bangalore, India. Each product is uniquely inspired by the Indian way of life. Artisans from various parts of India handcraft most parts of the products. At mubhi, we seamlessly fuse new technologies with handcrafted parts to create a stunning and unique product experience. We guarantee the authenticity of every product we sell.
Where do you source the raw material?
We use native craft and local material as a source of inspiration to create authentic products that retain their essence. Sometimes, we mix more than two craft to create something magical. As of now, 96% of the raw material is sourced within India. In some cases we source from outside India based on various quality and availability criteria.
What is the mubhi policy on artisans and craftspeople?
mubhi takes the utmost care to respect the creativity and individuality of every artisan and craftsperson, while creating our products. We employ the finest artisans and craftspeople from across India. On an average more than six different people work on each product we sell, so that it meets our quality standards and guidelines.
We have streamlined fair price policies, which don’t undercut prices for the work done by anyone. Our supply chain focuses on increasing efficiency by using the latest technologies and processes. This helps the artisans and craftspeople to focus on their work, and creates a sustainable work life balance.
Decent work believes in social integration and provides dignity and security of labor. It sums up the aspirations of people in their working lives. It involves opportunities for work that is productive and delivers a fair income, security in the workplace and social protection for families, better prospects for personal development and social integration. All mubhi partners need to follow the standards and guidelines we have set up.

How do mubhi product offers work?
mubhi may launch new offers across any of our products. Our products span various categories and price points, so there's something for everyone! If you like something, it's a good idea to log on as early as possible as most of our products are handmade, with extremely limited quantities.

If an item appears as “SOLD OUT” on www.mubhi.com, you could choose to add the item to your wish list and we will notify you once the item is available again.

When does mubhi charge my credit card?
Your credit card will be charged when you buy a product from www.mubhi.com
What are the payment options at www.mubhi.com?
You can make the payment through one of the following modes:

Net banking.
mubhi accepts Visa and MasterCard. We do not provide the option for Cash On Delivery as of now.
Does mubhi charge sales tax?
The prices on www.mubhi.com are inclusive of all taxes. What you see is what you pay.
How can I check the status of my order?
You can check the status of your order in multiple ways:
To check the status of your order, log on to www.mubhi.com and go to the My Orders section under My Account. When the items in your order ship, we will add tracking information to this page.
We will also email you when there is a status update to your order. Check the tracking link sent to your email ID and click on that to see your delivery status. When you buy mubhi products from our partner websites, check the tracking link sent to your email ID. Click on the link to see your delivery status.

How does mubhi ensure the quality of the products?
All our products pass through strict quality assurance processes. These are carried out at different stages, right from sourcing the raw material to the final packaging, before shipping it to you.
Variation on the product
Most mubhi products are delicately handcrafted. Any variation on the surface of the product only suggests the unique signature of the natural material used in the process.
SUSTAINABILITY
Are mubhi products eco-friendly?
More than 60% of the total material used in any mubhi product is handcrafted with locally available material and craftspeople. Hence, each mubhi product has a low energy input, as compared to industrial processes, and a low transportation energy input. We create value in everything we do and you can experience it when you see the packaging of our products. This is designed in such a way that you could reuse it in many ways.
Are mubhi products recyclable?
Most parts used in creating mubhi products or packaging, are recyclable.
Do vegetable dyes react with the skin?
Vegetable dyes are quite safe as they are created from natural color forms (leaves, seeds, bark) and natural lacquer that are skin safe.
What is sustainable wood?
The wood used is from Etikoppaka, a village in Andhra Pradesh known for producing traditional lacquer products. For details refer http://etikoppaka.in
SHIPPING
How does mubhi ship products?
We ship products to you directly from our warehouse in Bangalore, India, as fast as we can.
What are mubhi shipping charges?
We offer FREE shipping to any location within India.
Any location outside India is subject to the appropriate shipping charges, which will be listed on the site at the time of purchase.
What happens when I buy from outside India but want to ship it to a location in India?
You can buy any mubhi product sitting anywhere in the world. We offer FREE shipping to any location within India.
What if I couldn’t pick up the order?
Our shipping partner will leave you a message at your address for an alternative address or pick–up arrangement. In case you fail to pick up the order, the shipment will be sent back to us or our partner. In this case we have the right to deduct the shipping charges from your payment. The balance amount (i.e. total payment minus the shipping charges) will be credited to your mubhi account or a special coupon will be mailed to you. RETURNS
What if my product was damaged or the wrong product was delivered?
This almost never happens. If at all, we apologize for the inconvenience. In case we shipped you a damaged product or the wrong product, then we require you to send us an image of the product along with your order ID within 24 hours of receiving the product to support@mubhi.com and we will replace the product you have purchased, post validation.
What is mubhi return policy?
There are no return policies available at this time. In case we shipped you a damaged product or the wrong product, we will replace that with the product you have purchased as soon as possible or we will refund the entire amount through the original mode of payment if the product is out of stock. In this case, the refund amount will be processed in 7-8 business days.
How will I receive the refund?
All refunds will be issued through the same payment method used in the original purchase. For example, if you used a credit card as your payment method, the purchase amount will be issued to your credit card in 7-8 business days.
How much time will it take to deliver the product?
When you order from www.mubhi.com, we ensure that your order is processed within 2 business days and delivered to you within 7-10 business days. We will mention the approximate delivery time at the time of purchase.
